Ameya Chavan
Ameya’s primary responsibilities include overseeing and managing design, development, and validation of simulation and other mathematical decision-analytic models to conduct cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses of healthcare interventions. Ameya has also developed cost-effectiveness models used to support HTA submissions to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the National Institute of Excellence in Health and Social Services (INESSS). Additionally, Ameya leads the development of novel initiatives such as the Clinical Trial Simulation (CTS) tool and the Runtime Optimized Logic Launcher (ROLL) based on Evidera’s Discretely Integrated Condition Event (EviDICE®) simulator. He also regularly supports the development of the Alzheimer’s Disease ACE simulator (AD ACE), and more recently the Parkinson’s Disease simulator (PD ACE), assisting commercial strategic planning and product development. His programming skills range from Excel-based VBA programming, to more advanced programming languages such as Python, R, C#, SQL, Java, C, C++, and MATLAB.
Ameya received his bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Mumbai in India and his Master of Science degree in information systems from the University of Maryland, College Park.
