Valeria Burrone
Prior to working at PPD, Valeria worked for Medtronic Inc. for 11 years, initially contracted out to a company strategic account as a technical consultant, before returning in-house to the role of clinical study manager, project manager and senior project manager. She has been a project manager since 2007 and has successfully conducted many full-service clinical studies in accordance with ICH-GCP and the appropriate standard operating procedures. Valeria also has wide experience of studies in numerous indications including: abdominal aortic aneurysm, thoracic aortic aneurysm, cardiac rhythm disorders (paroximal atrial fibrillation), acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, cardiovascular medical devices (vascular and endovascular grafts, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, pacemakers, and cardiac resynchronization therapy), and rare diseases (adenosine deaminase severe combined immunodeficiency, metachromatic leukodystrophy, adrenal insufficiency, and hereditary angioedema). Within PPD she has conducted many full-service, non-interventional studies in rare diseases (adenosine-deaminase severe combined immunodeficiency [ADA-SCID], metachromatic leukodystrophy, hereditary angioedema, and chronic adrenal insufficiency) and she also successfully coordinated the implementation of a patient-centric operational model for a registry on gene therapy.
