Wendy Hamon
Wendy has 19 years of global experience with diverse therapeutic area knowledge in oncology, hematology, immune-inflammation, gastroenterology, neuroscience, infectious diseases, and devices spanning global Phase I-IV trials. Wendy is experienced in leading cross-functional teams though the full drug development life cycle from animal toxicology through delivery of epidemiologic post-approval commitments. She has worked on a number of complex oncology protocols that required strategic oversight and engagement, in close collaboration with the client, to ensure successful completion to meet the client’s strategic product plans. Her operational oversight experience and understanding of client needs in a drug development environment enable her to guide teams toward successful delivery. While in the pharmaceutical industry, she spent time on assets in the Medical Affairs space to lead teams in development of strategy for seeking label changes as well as address post-approval commitments to meet FDA demands. This work was the catalyst for her passion for late stage research.
Wendy has extensive strategic partnership and alliance management experience and has successfully led initiatives as business process owner to strategize and implement solutions critical to the business. Wendy operates on leadership principles of effective communication, team empowerment and transparency whereby her leadership style allows for international, multi-disciplinary projects teams that consistently deliver to achieve contractual timelines while maintaining financial targets. She has demonstrated effective communication across the barriers of culture, time zone differences and languages and has used these skills successfully throughout her career in drug development and operations execution. She believes that effective communication and transparency underpin strong relationships within the team as well as extending to the sponsor team. Wendy has also consistently demonstrated her ability to review projects from strategic and practical perspectives. This quality has enabled her to successfully manage project teams in proactively identifying potential risks and reacting to unanticipated events such that delivery is not compromised.
